Jacksonville Jaguars 31st Anniversary 2026 Advent Calendar

Jacksonville got its franchise in 1993 and played its first game in 1995, which makes this one of the youngest histories in the league — and the only one most of its supporters have lived through end to end. Thirty-one seasons is short enough that plenty of people in the stadium were there for the first one.

Since 1995

A young club marks anniversaries differently. There is no founding generation to invoke and no decades-old grievance to nurse — just a straight count of seasons, which is a cleaner thing to put on a box. Thirty-one of them, teal and gold, in a city that had waited a long time to have a team at all.

Inside

A paper box of 13.5 x 18 x 3 cm and 135 g, holding a moulded plastic tray with twenty-four acrylic ornaments in individual slots. Windows are die-cut so the doors lift one at a time under a thumbnail.

Each piece measures 3.2 cm square and carries a tab punched through the acrylic. Both faces are printed — matte and gloss — and one side arrives under a protective film that needs removing before display.

The Name Panel

Whatever name goes in at checkout is printed into the front artwork during production rather than applied afterwards. For a box that somebody opens every morning for three and a half weeks, having their name already on it changes the object.

Where It Lives

Wherever the morning routine happens — kitchen counter, hall table, the shelf by the door. The ornaments then need somewhere to go: a branch, a ribbon, the tree. Keep the box indoors; Florida humidity is not kind to paper, and acrylic hazes if it gets damp.

Questions Buyers Ask

Why does the count start in 1995 and not 1993?

1993 is when the franchise was awarded; 1995 is when the Jaguars actually played. The anniversary counts seasons on the field.

Can I put a nickname on it?

The panel takes whatever you type at checkout, so a nickname works as well as a full name — and usually reads better at that size.

Are the ornaments fragile?

Flat acrylic is tough for its weight — it will not shatter like glass. What it does dislike is being pressed against other pieces in storage, which the moulded tray prevents.

Can the calendar be used again next year?

The box cannot: the doors are die-cut and open once. The twenty-four ornaments can, and do.
