A beagle for every day to Christmas Eve

Twenty-four acrylic beagles, one behind each numbered window. Some wear antlers and Santa hats; others are doing ordinary beagle things with books, drinks and instruments. The whole calendar measures 13.5 x 18 x 3 cm.

Materials and measurements

• Paper outer box with a plastic inner tray.
• 24 acrylic (mica) items, one behind each numbered window.
• Box: 13.5 x 18 x 3 cm, 135 g.
• Each acrylic item: 3.2 x 3.2 cm.
• Double-sided print: one matte face, one glossy face.
• Perforated hanging tab, and die-cut dotted lines on every window.

Each piece ships with a protective film over the glossy face. Peel it off before you hang or stand the piece, or the print looks cloudy.

This is a breed-specific calendar, which is the point. For a beagle owner it reads as chosen rather than grabbed, and the vintage palette keeps it away from the bright cartoon look most dog merchandise defaults to.

Are the beagles drawn realistically or as cartoons?

Stylised illustration rather than photographic, in a vintage palette of cream, navy and red.

Will this work for a different breed’s owner?

Every piece is beagle-specific, so it reads oddly for another breed. Treat it as a beagle gift, not a general dog gift.

Can the pieces stand on a shelf?

They are flat 3.2 cm acrylic cut-outs. They sit well on a shelf lip or in a small stand, and they are light enough to hang.

Is the box tall enough to display with the windows still shut?

Yes. At 13.5 x 18 cm and 3 cm deep it stands or hangs flat, so it works as decoration from the first of the month.
