Uconn Huskies NCAA 2026 Christmas Ornament

UConn’s Husky looks right at home on a Christmas tree. This ornament layers navy, red and white branches into a tree with snowflakes, stars and a gold star on top, puts the Husky head logo in the centre above a football, and finishes with a banner reading UCONN HUSKIES.

Hanging on the tree by the fireplace.

A School of Champions

UConn may be best known for basketball, and with good reason. The men won back-to-back national championships in 2023 and 2024, and the women’s programme, the most successful in the history of the sport, won its 12th national title in April 2025. Jonathan the Husky has been the school’s mascot since 1934, and Storrs fills with blue and white every winter. On Saturdays in autumn, the football team carries the same Husky logo onto the field at Rentschler Field.

For Connecticut families, a Husky ornament says more than one sport: it says home. Geno Auriemma, who arrived to coach the women’s team in 1985, became the winningest coach in college basketball history in November 2024, and the men’s programme under Dan Hurley has turned Storrs into a destination for the best players in the country.
