The Powerpuff Girls Christmas 2026 Advent Calendar

The pink-and-blue box shows the three sisters in full flight over Townsville at Christmas: Blossom in red with her bow, Bubbles in blue with her pigtails and Buttercup in green, each leaving a coloured trail across a sky full of stars and hearts. City Hall below is wrapped in wreaths, and the banner reads Townsville Christmas 2026.

Sugar, Spice and Chemical X

The Powerpuff Girls premiered on Cartoon Network on November 18, 1998. Creator Craig McCracken’s opening narration explained it all: Professor Utonium mixed sugar, spice and everything nice, then accidentally added Chemical X, and the three girls were born with superpowers. They spent every episode saving Townsville before bedtime, battling Mojo Jojo, Him, Fuzzy Lumpkins and Princess Morbucks while the Mayor panicked and Ms. Bellum handled everything.

The show’s flat, bold style and fast humour made it a defining cartoon of the late nineties, and those fans now have children of their own.

The idea started small. Craig McCracken created the girls as a student at CalArts in 1992 in a short originally titled Whoopass Stew!, before Cartoon Network renamed the trio for television. The series led to a 2002 feature film and a 2016 reboot, and Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup still appear on everything from backpacks to phone cases. Every fan has a favourite sister, and many friend groups decided long ago who was who.

Who You Will Meet

The set features the girls, the Professor, the Mayor, the villains and a few Townsville icons such as City Hall and a Chemical X canister, along with Christmas trees, stars and gifts. The numbered photo is for viewing the set; the windows are not opened in that order. Each piece is flat acrylic printed on both sides.

Standard or Premium

Both sizes include 24 pieces, available as hanging ornaments or with stand bases:

• Standard: pieces about 3.2 × 3.2 cm; box 13.5 × 18 × 3 cm, 135 g.
• Premium: pieces 4.3 × 4.3 cm (square) or 4 × 5 cm (rectangular); box 28 × 19 × 5 cm.

The box is printed paper with a plastic tray and dotted die-cut windows. One side of each piece is matte, the other glossy; peel off the protective film before use.

Why It Makes a Good Gift

It suits a sister group who once argued about who was Blossom, a nineties kid who still quotes Mojo Jojo, or a young fan who found the girls on streaming. The stand-base option turns the pieces into a little Townsville on a desk, and the hanging version brings them to the tree.
