Star Trek 60th Anniversary 2026 Halloween Dreamcatcher

Star Trek has been on air, on film or in reruns since 1966, which is long enough that the silhouette of the ship does the work without a caption. Hanging it in a ring of stars and planets is a reasonable idea. Adding pumpkins and a striped bow is a stranger one, and it is the reason this piece is more fun than a straight commemorative plate.

Sixty Years, Marked

The centre plaque carries STAR TREK 60th ANNIVERSARY and the dates 1966–2026 in clean lettering, with the Enterprise and the Starfleet insignia around it. Black, silver and purple hold the space end of the design; orange arrives with the season, in the bow, the pumpkins and the ghosts threaded through the lower strands. It is an anniversary piece wearing a costume, which is a very Star Trek thing to be.

The Piece Itself

A circular frame holds the woven centre, the printed panel and the plaque. Below it hang feathers, beads and ribbon in matching black, orange, silver and purple, weighted at the ends so the strands fall straight rather than curling into each other. It comes finished and ready for a single hook — no assembly, no threading.

Where to Hang It

An interior door, the wall by a bookcase, a window frame, the corner of a room that already has a model ship or two in it. A little air movement suits it — the hanging strands are what stop the piece looking static — so a hallway or a spot near a door works better than a still alcove.

Looking After It

Dust with a soft dry brush, stroking down through the strands rather than against them. Keep it out of direct sun — the printed panel holds its colour far longer away from a south-facing window. Store it flat with the feathers uncrushed instead of leaving it hanging in a loft between Octobers.

Questions Buyers Ask

Can it hang on a wall as well as a door?

Either. It hangs from a single point and sits close to the surface, so a picture hook, a door hook or a nail all work. The weighted strands keep it from swinging into the frame.

Is it safe outdoors on a porch?

No. Rain flattens the feathers, damp distorts the woven frame, and sunlight fades the printed panel. It is built for inside a house.

Do the hanging pieces move much?

They swing gently in a draught — that is the intent. The ends are weighted, so they settle again rather than tangling round each other.

Is this specifically a Halloween decoration?

It is dated to Halloween 2026 and the orange elements say October. Strip that away and what remains — the ship, the delta, the anniversary dates — reads year round, which is why plenty of these stay up past November.
