Some candy bars are just candy bars. Snickers is the one people reach for when they are actually hungry, and that reputation is why it has stayed one of America’s favourite chocolate bars for nearly a century. The Snickers Christmas 2026 Advent Calendar turns that brown wrapper into a holiday countdown, with a big caramel-dripping bar on the front and “More Peanuts, More Holidays” beside it.

A Bar Named After a Horse

Snickers was created in Chicago in 1930 by Frank Mars and his son Forrest, and it was named after a horse the Mars family owned and loved. The recipe has barely changed: nougat, caramel and roasted peanuts covered in milk chocolate. The bar’s best-known advertising came much later. In February 2010, during Super Bowl XLIV, Snickers ran a commercial in which Betty White was tackled in a backyard football game, introducing the line “You’re not you when you’re hungry.” The line is still in use today.

That history gives this calendar its appeal. It is a nod to the candy that has been part of stockings, lunchboxes and road trips for generations.

Snickers has also long been a holiday staple in its own right. Seasonal shapes and wrapped minis fill stockings and candy dishes every December, and for many families a Snickers bar is the treat that turns up in the toe of the stocking year after year. A countdown built around it taps into that small, familiar ritual.

What Is Inside

The designs fall into a few groups: classic Snickers bars and fun-size pieces, ingredient pieces like peanut clusters, caramel swirls and chocolate chunks, and holiday treats such as hot cocoa, cookies, stockings and a peanut character in a Santa hat. The numbered layout in our photos shows the whole set at a glance; it does not tell you what sits behind each window. Each piece is a flat acrylic charm printed on both sides; there is no chocolate inside.

Both versions come either as hanging pieces with a hole for a hook or ribbon or as standing pieces with a small base. Peel off the protective film before use.

A Sweet Countdown That Lasts

Chocolate advent calendars are gone by Boxing Day. This one leaves you with a set of Snickers-themed decorations that go on the tree, on a kitchen shelf or along the window of a home office, and come back out next year. It works well in an office, where a chocolate calendar would be emptied by lunchtime on December 1, and as a gift for the colleague with a Snickers stash in the desk drawer.
