MLB Checkerboard 47 Hitch Rope Cap

Most team caps come in team colours. This one flips the idea: every version wears the same deep and pale green checkerboard, and the club logo sits on top in clean white. The ’47 Story

’47 started outside Fenway Park in Boston. Twin brothers Arthur and Henry D’Angelo, who had arrived from Italy as boys, sold souvenirs to Red Sox crowds, and in 1947 they bought a street cart, the beginning of the business that took the year as its name. Over the following decades the brand grew into one of the best-known makers of licensed caps, from relaxed “Clean Up” dad hats to structured snapbacks like the Hitch.

That ballpark-cart origin is part of the appeal: ’47 caps feel like something you would buy on the way into the stadium, not something designed far away from it.
