The theming runs through the board rather than sitting on top of it. The properties are stops in a Lynx season — Media Day, Practice Facility, Broadcast Row, Rivalry Night, All-Star Weekend, Playoff Push, and Banner Night at the expensive end. Target Center is a property in its own right, Championship Tax replaces the usual one, and the two card decks are renamed Fan Rewards and Coach’s Challenge.

The rules are the standard property-trading ones, so there is nothing new to learn. The tokens are drawn from the sport instead of the old iron and thimble: a trophy, a whistle, a basketball shoe, a pennant, a model of the arena. It plays with 2 to 6 people.

Who the Minnesota Lynx are

The Lynx have played in the WNBA out of Target Center in Minneapolis since the franchise started in 1999, and they have won the championship four times — 2011, 2013, 2015 and 2017. Cheryl Reeve has coached the team through all four. In 2026 they finished first in the Western Conference and went into the playoffs as a top seed.

That record is why Banner Night sits at the top of the board where Boardwalk usually goes. The centre panel shows the Target Center court lit up with a Christmas tree on the floor and garlands around the stands, in the navy, green and white the team plays in.
