Los Angeles Rams 89th Anniversary 2026 Advent Calendar

The Rams started in Cleveland in 1937, won a championship there, and then moved to Los Angeles in 1946 — the first major professional club on the West Coast, at a time when the furthest west anyone played was Chicago. Eighty-nine seasons later, after a long detour through St. Louis, they are back where they made that first jump.

The First Team Out West

That 1946 move mattered beyond one club: it opened the western half of the country to professional football and changed what the league could become. The horned helmet arrived two years later and was the first helmet logo anyone had painted on. Eighty-nine seasons covers all of that, plus the twenty years in Missouri that a lot of people would rather skip.

Inside the Box

Twenty-four acrylic ornaments in a moulded plastic tray, one behind each die-cut window. Every piece is 3.2 cm square with a tab punched through the material, printed on both faces — one matte, one gloss — with a protective film over one side that comes off before hanging.

The paper outer box measures 13.5 x 18 x 3 cm and weighs 135 g, which is small enough to sit anywhere without taking over a surface.

The Name on the Front

Set at checkout and printed into the artwork during production. It is the difference between a box addressed to a household and one addressed to a person.

Through the Month

Open one a day and hang what comes out. By the middle of the month the pieces start to look like a set rather than a handful, which is when a bare branch or a run of ribbon starts earning its keep. Indoors and dry throughout.

Does the count include the Cleveland and St. Louis years?

It runs from the club’s first season in 1937, through Cleveland, Los Angeles, St. Louis and back — every season under the same franchise.

Do the ornaments come with hooks?

They come with the tab punched, which takes a standard hook or a loop of thread. The hooks themselves are not included.

Can I hang them outdoors on a porch?

Better not. Damp clouds acrylic permanently, and the printed faces go first.

What is the gloss side for?

Light. A glossy face catches a lamp in a dark corner; a matte face holds detail better under bright overhead lighting. Turn the piece to suit where it hangs.
