The Jack Skellington Santa Hat 2026 Christmas Ornament is worked stitch by stitch in yarn. Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas, directed by Henry Selick, arrived in cinemas in 1993. In it, Jack Skellington, the Pumpkin King of Halloween Town, stumbles into Christmas Town and decides to run the holiday himself, kidnapping “Sandy Claws” and dressing in a Santa suit of his own. The Santa hat here is that moment, Halloween wearing Christmas clothes.

The film took about three years of stop-motion work, with around 400 interchangeable heads made for Jack alone. Danny Elfman wrote the songs and sang Jack’s parts, and the soundtrack still returns every autumn. Because the story belongs to both Halloween and Christmas, it is one of the few films people watch in October and again in December.
