Home Alone Christmas 2026 Advent Calendar

Kevin McCallister has his hands on his cheeks, a snowy house glows behind him, and a pair of burglars lurk at the edges. That is the cover of the Home Alone Christmas 2026 Advent Calendar, with the Home Alone logo at the top and “24 Days of Holiday Mischief” along the bottom.

The film that made mischief a Christmas tradition

Home Alone came out in the US on 16 November 1990. It was directed by Chris Columbus and written by John Hughes, with Macaulay Culkin as Kevin, who is left behind when his family leaves for a Christmas trip to Paris. Alone in a suburban Chicago house, he defends it against two burglars with a series of homemade traps. The film earned $476.7 million worldwide on an $18 million budget, and it was followed by Home Alone 2: Lost in New York in 1992 and several later films.

Part of its staying power is how many small objects it made famous. Paint cans, toy cars, a tarantula and a pizza delivery are as much a part of the story as Kevin himself, which is why a calendar of 24 small pieces suits it.

Design and ornaments

The box is a deep blue winter night, with the snow-covered house at the centre and the characters leaning in from either side. The product photos show ornaments of Kevin, the burglars and objects from the story, including a house, a bottle of aftershave, a paint can and a tarantula, each with a hanging loop.

The numbered overview picture shows the full range at a glance and is not a window-by-window list.

Set details

The set comes in one size, as a paper outer box that houses a moulded plastic inner tray that measures 13.5 x 18 x 3 cm in size and weighs 135 g. Its 24 acrylic (mica) ornaments are 3.2 cm square and each has a perforated hanging tab. The print is double-sided, with a matte face and a glossy face, and die-cut dotted lines open each day window.

Making it part of the season

Open one numbered window a day, peel the film off the ornament and hang it. A film-night shelf or a hallway console is a good place to keep the box, and the ornaments can go on a tree or a garland.

• Cleaning: a soft, dry cloth.
• Storing: flat in the tray, in a dry place.

It makes a fun present for a family that watches the film every December, and for adults who grew up with it. For more movie-themed gifts, explore our collection.
