Detroit Lions Star Wars Funday Football Super Bowl LXI Hoodie

This hoodie looks like a game day on Tatooine. The body fades from sand to deep desert orange, with big gold-outlined LIONS lettering across the chest and the Honolulu blue leaping lion beneath it. C-3PO waves a towel while R2-D2 and BB-8 roll at his feet. On the back, a Star Wars Funday Football shield sits above droids, troopers and players in the middle of a play.

What Star Wars Funday Football Is

ESPN, Lucasfilm, Disney and the NFL are producing Star Wars Funday Football, an animated alternate telecast of Super Bowl LXI. The game is set for February 14, 2027, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, and the Star Wars version will stream on Disney+ and the ESPN App and air on Disney Channel and Disney XD. Every play is rebuilt in real time using player-tracking data, and Star Wars characters step into the action at key moments, with Anthony Daniels returning as the voice of C-3PO.

It is the fourth animated NFL broadcast of its kind, after the Toy Story, Simpsons and Monsters editions, and the first to cover a Super Bowl.

Why Lions Fans Get It

The Lions have been playing on Thanksgiving Day since 1934, and their fans are among the most patient in football; the franchise has yet to reach a Super Bowl. A hoodie that drops the Lions logo right next to the Super Bowl LXI badge is a bit of hope, a bit of humour and a lot of team pride. For families who share both Sunday football and Star Wars movie nights, it covers both in one piece.

That patience goes back a long way. Detroit won NFL championships in 1935, 1952, 1953 and 1957, long before the Super Bowl existed, and then waited decades for another deep run. Under head coach Dan Campbell the Lions won the NFC North in 2023, their first division title in thirty years, and reached the NFC Championship Game that season. Honolulu blue and silver are back in style across Michigan, and fans have learned to dream big again.

Fabric and Fit

The hoodie is made from soft, lightweight polyester with ribbed cuffs and waistband, a front kangaroo pocket and a drawstring hood. The neck and shoulders are taped for comfort. Dye-sublimation printing carries the artwork across the whole garment, including the sleeves.

Chest is measured flat 2 cm below the armpit and doubled; allow 1–3 cm, since each hoodie is made by hand.

Worn casually at home.

Care

Machine wash cold, use non-chlorine bleach only when needed, hang dry and iron on the reverse side. Turning the hoodie inside out before washing helps the colours last.
