Twenty-four windows, one opened a day until Christmas Eve. The Call of Duty 2026 Advent Calendar fills them with printed acrylic ornaments drawn from the series roster: the skull-masked Ghost is in there, along with snipers in woodland and snow ghillie suits, a breacher behind a ballistic shield, night-vision teams, and a military working dog.

The roster is wider than the box art suggests. Alongside the masked operators there are women on the squad, an operator in sunglasses and beard, faces under boonie hats and beanies and helmets, each printed on its own 3.2 cm acrylic piece with a punched tab at the top. They are small and light enough for a tree branch or a garland, and they store flat in the tray for the following December.

Twenty-three years of Call of Duty

The first Call of Duty shipped on 29 October 2003, and by 2023 the series had passed 500 million copies sold. Modern Warfare arrived in 2007 and moved the war out of 1944 and into the present day; Black Ops opened its Cold War line in 2010; Warzone made the whole thing free to play in 2020. Activision has published every one of them. The skull mask in this set belongs to Simon Ghost Riley, who broke out in Modern Warfare 2 back in 2009 and has been the face of the series ever since.

The timing works in the calendar’s favour. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 lands on 23 October 2026 with Infinity Ward back in charge, sending Captain Price into a war on the Korean Peninsula. December’s countdown falls squarely inside that season, which is the point at which a Call of Duty household most wants something Call of Duty on the tree.

Who is behind the windows

The skull mask is the one everybody recognises. What makes the rest of the month worth opening is how far the selection travels from it: a sniper wrapped head to foot in woodland ghillie, another in blue-white snow camouflage, an operator carrying a full ballistic shield, helmeted figures in red, amber and green optics, and a German Shepherd in harness beside its handler. Several are women, which the box art barely hints at.

The outer box carries its own scene — distressed white Call of Duty lettering and gold Advent Calendar 2026 text over helicopters, watchtowers and a line of soldiers walking out of the flames, with the 24 Unique Characters to Collect flash on the right-hand side.
