Studio Ghibli Christmas 2026 Advent Calendar

Return to a Favourite Animated World

A favourite film can become part of the way you remember a particular time in your life. The Studio Ghibli Christmas 2026 Advent Calendar brings that feeling into December, with 24 printed acrylic ornaments to reveal and display before Christmas.

The winter artwork sets a seasonal mood, while the character theme provides the personal connection. It is a gift for the viewer who remembers how a story felt long after the final scene.

The Memories Behind the Characters

Founded in Japan in 1985, Studio Ghibli has created animated films that invite viewers into richly imagined worlds. Their appeal often rests in small moments as much as grand adventures: an unfamiliar place becoming home, a meal shared or a young character finding confidence.

For one fan, Totoro may recall a first introduction to animation beyond familiar childhood favourites. For another, Kiki brings back a story about independence and learning to trust yourself. Those associations give character decorations meaning beyond their appearance.

This calendar offers a way to include those memories in Christmas preparations. You might pair the countdown with a weekend film night or give it to the person who first introduced you to a favourite Ghibli story.

Twenty-Four Additions to Your Holiday Display

Open one numbered window each day from December 1 to 24. Hang the revealed pieces together or spread them among existing decorations; there is no need to recreate the arrangement shown in the product artwork.

• Contents: 24 acrylic (mica) ornaments, each 3.2 × 3.2 cm with a pierced hanging tab.
• Finish: Double-sided print with a matte side and a glossy side.
• Packaging: Paper outer box, moulded plastic tray and perforated numbered windows.
• Box size: 13.5 × 18 × 3 cm; 135 g; one size.

Remove the protective film before hanging. Wipe the ornaments with a soft, dry cloth and keep the box away from moisture.

Useful Details Before Gifting

Would this suit someone new to Ghibli?

A connection to the films makes the theme more personal. It can be a thoughtful choice for someone who has recently discovered a favourite.

Can the decorations be kept for next Christmas?

Yes. Store the individual ornaments carefully and bring them out again with your other seasonal decorations.
