Bucky Barnes has been part of the Marvel story longer than almost anyone. This figure shows him as he looks heading into Avengers: Doomsday: swept-back brown hair, a short beard, black tactical gear and the silver metal arm that made the Winter Soldier famous. He stands on a flat base in a window box with green Avengers artwork.

From Sidekick to Avenger

Sebastian Stan first played Bucky in Captain America: The First Avenger in 2011, as Steve Rogers’s best friend. He returned as the brainwashed Winter Soldier in 2014, found redemption alongside Sam Wilson in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and joined a new team of antiheroes in Thunderbolts* in 2025. Avengers: Doomsday, directed by the Russo brothers and due in cinemas on December 18, 2026, marks his eleventh appearance in the series, facing Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom.

Few characters have changed as much across the saga, and that long arc is why Bucky has such a loyal following. The character goes back even further: Joe Simon and Jack Kirby created Bucky in Captain America Comics #1 in 1941, and Ed Brubaker’s 2005 Winter Soldier storyline brought him back as the tragic assassin the films later adapted.

Display and Gifting

Place it next to a Captain America or Thunderbolts* display, on a desk, or on a shelf ready for the Doomsday premiere. It makes a fun gift for a Marvel fan heading to opening night in December. Dust it with a soft dry cloth and keep it out of direct sunlight.
