Scooby-Doo has clearly tried to help with the decorating. On the front of this green sweater he grins under a red Santa hat, wrapped in a string of yellow lights, beneath the arched red slogan “Get Your Jingle On”. On the back he peeks out from the centre of a holiday wreath, still in his Santa hat.

A Pattern Full of Mystery Inc. Jokes
Look closer and the borders tell their own story. Across the chest runs a band of the snacks Scooby and Shaggy can never resist: pizza slices, burgers, hot dogs, fries and fried eggs. Lower down, white silhouettes of the gang sprint along the hem in a classic chase scene, with Scooby skidding behind. Snowflakes, red zigzags and candy-cane stripes fill the rest, in the style of a traditional knitted holiday sweater.
Fifty-Seven Years of Scooby
Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! premiered on CBS on September 13, 1969, created for Hanna-Barbera by Joe Ruby and Ken Spears. A talking Great Dane, four teenagers and a van called the Mystery Machine turned into one of the longest-running franchises in animation, with new series, films and specials in almost every decade since. For many families, Scooby is a character parents and children have both grown up with, which is exactly what makes him a good fit for a holiday sweater.
Don Messick gave Scooby his famous “Ruh-roh” for decades, and Casey Kasem voiced Shaggy from 1969 until 2009. Scooby Snacks, the Mystery Machine and the villain unmasked with “I would have gotten away with it too, if it weren’t for you meddling kids” are part of everyday language. A sweater full of snack motifs and a running gang is an affectionate wink at all of it.

Folded in its gift box, ready to wrap.
Ugly Sweater Season
National Ugly Christmas Sweater Day falls on the third Friday of December, which is December 18 in 2026. It is the one day the brightest, busiest sweater in the room is the right choice, whether at work, at school or at a charity fundraiser. Scooby’s lights and snacks make this one loud in the friendliest way.
Fabric, Fit and Care
The sweater is a printed sweatshirt made from 35% cotton and 65% polyester, with long sleeves and ribbed neck, cuffs and hem. The knit-style pattern is printed, so it stays soft and light rather than heavy and scratchy. It is available in sizes S to 5XL; if you plan to wear it over a shirt, consider going one size up.

Worn at home in front of the tree.
Wash cold inside out and hang to dry so the colours stay bright for many Christmases.
