Why 03 and 26

The Mohegan Tribe bought the Orlando Miracle in January 2003 and moved the team to Connecticut, where it became the Sun. In March 2026 the franchise was sold to the Fertitta family and will relocate to Houston for the 2027 season. That makes 2026 the last year of Connecticut basketball at Mohegan Sun Arena, and these two numbers the span of the whole run.
