Skeleton Bartender 2026 Advent Calendar

The bartender has been dead for some time and is taking it well. He is mid-pour, surrounded by red hibiscus and cocktail glasses and the warm orange light of somewhere that closes late, on a box the colour of a deep teal wall. It is Day of the Dead by way of a tiki bar, and it is considerably more cheerful than that description suggests.

The Look of It

Gold vintage lettering over dark teal and black, with botanical flourishes in the borders and red flowers doing the heavy lifting on colour. Lanterns, bottles and glassware fill the space around the figure. The whole composition reads like a hand-painted bar sign, which is a good deal more interesting on a shelf than another snow scene.

What Comes in the Box

Paper outer box at 13.5 x 18 x 3 cm and 135 g, over a moulded plastic tray that holds twenty-four acrylic pieces in individual slots. Die-cut dotted lines run around every window, so a door opens under a thumbnail without tearing into the neighbouring artwork.

Pieces are 3.2 x 3.2 cm, printed on both faces — matte one side, gloss the other — with a hanging tab punched through the acrylic. A protective film covers one face on arrival; peel it before anything goes on a hook.

Where It Belongs

On or beside the drinks trolley, obviously — the artwork was built for that corner of the room. Otherwise a kitchen shelf, a home bar, the sideboard where the good glasses live. Open one a day and the pieces can hang from a bottle rack, a length of twine along a shelf edge, or the tree if the tree wants livening up.

Looking After the Pieces

Dry cloth, always. Acrylic near a bar picks up splashes, and anything damp or abrasive will haze the surface permanently — wipe drips off promptly and dry. When the season is done, back into the moulded tray rather than a drawer, so the tabs stay straight.

Questions Buyers Ask

Does it contain any drink?

No. What is behind the doors is twenty-four acrylic ornaments on a cocktail theme — glassware, bottles, flowers, the bartender himself. Nothing is drinkable and nothing is edible.

Does the box stand up on its own?

It does — at 3 cm deep it sits upright on a shelf or a trolley without propping, which is how it is meant to be displayed while the countdown runs.

Will these survive a humid kitchen?

The acrylic will. The paper box is the vulnerable part — steam and splashes soften card, so keep the box itself away from the hob and the kettle even if the ornaments end up hanging nearby.

Is the theme Halloween or Christmas?

Neither exactly. The skeleton reads as Day of the Dead, the format is an advent countdown, and the result works from late October straight through December.
