Volkswagen Classic Christmas 2026 Advent Calendar

The cover looks like a Christmas card from the 1960s: a cobbled village under the Alps, a stone bridge, a lit tree, and two of the most loved vehicles ever built waiting in the snow. A green Beetle carries a stack of presents on its roof rack, while a red-and-cream split-window Bus wears a wreath on its nose.

Why People Love These Cars

Few cars have meant so much to so many families. The original Beetle stayed in production for decades, and when the last one left the factory in Puebla, Mexico in 2003, around 21.5 million had been built, more than any other car on a single design of its era. The Type 2 Bus followed in 1950, from an idea by Dutch importer Ben Pon, and became the van of surf trips, family holidays and festival weekends. Brazil kept building it until the end of 2013.

That is why a VW gift lands differently from most car gifts. For many people it is not about speed or badges; it is about the Beetle a parent drove to school, the camper that slept four on a beach, or the first car that was theirs.

What the Designs Cover

• Beetles: saloons in black, mint, cream and yellow, a red convertible and a blue Beetle with gifts on the roof.
• Buses and campers: a red-and-cream Samba, a green panel van, pop-top campers in orange and maroon, and a single-cab pickup carrying crates.
• Classic family: a Karmann Ghia coupe, a Type 3 wagon and saloon, a yellow Thing, a silver Golf and a purple Corrado.
• Road-trip extras: a cream steering wheel, a sticker-covered suitcase, a VW cool box, a sledge with holly and a 2026 VW badge.

The renders make the cars look like die-cast models, but each window holds a flat acrylic ornament printed on both sides. The photo with the numbers is a catalogue of the designs, not a map of the windows.

A Gift With a Story Attached

This is the kind of calendar that comes with a conversation. Give it to the parent who still talks about their first Beetle, the friend restoring a Bus in the garage, or the couple who honeymooned in a camper van. A short note naming the car you remember makes it personal.
